On Tuesday, September 16, a meeting will be held between researchers from the UIB and companies from the Balearic Marine Cluster, as part of the UIB-Cluster Meeting series. This cluster is made up of key companies in the nautical sector in the Balearic Islands and may be of interest to researchers working on projects related to the circular economy and waste management.

The aim of the meeting is to explore different ways in which companies can collaborate with UIB research groups, through the OTRI. During the event, the Acelera Program call for proposals will also be presented. This program is aimed at SMEs with projects involving new products, services, or innovative business models.

Agenda of the day:

• 10:30–10:40 am – Institutional Welcome. Lorenza Carrasco, Vice-chancellor for Innovation and Digital Transformation, UIB and Guillermo Garcia, President of the BMC.
• 10:40–11:20 am – Exploring potential collaborations with the university, such as the Acelera Program. Gabriela Dinkova, Head of the Business Collaboration Service
• 11:20–11:50 am – Presentations by UIB research groups (maximum 5 minutes per group)
• 11:50–12:00 pm – Q&A session
• 12:00–12:30 pm – Networking Aperitif

The meeting will take place in the Auditorium (Sala de Actos) of the Sa Riera building.
