The network provides services to companies, technology centres, universities and clusters to promote innovation and internationalisation.

THE EXAMPLE OF INAGEA.

A visit to the Institute for Agri-Environmental Research and Water Economics (Inagea) was held at the annual conference, which, thanks to the support of the EEN, is in contact with entities and companies in the agri-food sector at European level with the aim of establishing partnerships both for the transfer of the results of their research and for participation in European projects. The main objectives of this institution are to generate technological and scientific knowledge to transfer it to the agri-food and environmental sector thanks to an interdisciplinary team of professionals and researchers in agronomy, plant physiology, ecology, chemistry, hydrology, marine sciences or law.

José M. Escalona, director of the institute, explains that within the framework of the Enterprise Europe Network and through the FUEIB, the Inagea has received different services, such as expert advice on intellectual property, funding or digitisation. Also, within the framework of the network, Inagea is given advice on opportunities for cooperation at European level. EEN offers the possibility to post collaborative profiles on its platform and also participate in brokerage events (B2B brief meetings) both on-person and online.

Several island companies have benefited from the services offered by the EEN network in the field of innovation. 'In El Inagea, within the EEN, we have collaborated with the winery sectors, specifically José Luis Ferrer, with oil mills such as Són Mesquidassa, and we currently have agreements with Global Cen, whose long collaboration has led to a patent, and with a health company, Genosalud, which works on an early detection kit for repilo, a disease that attacks the olive tree'.
