As part of the next long-term EU budget for the period 2028-2034, the Commission proposes to double the budget of the Framework Programme for Research and Innovation to €175 billion.

The European Commission has today received the final version of the Code of Practice for General-Purpose AI, a voluntary tool developed by thirteen independent experts with input from over one thousand stakeholders, including model providers, small and medium-sized enterprises, academics, AI safety experts, rights holders, and civil society organizations.

This group will advise the Commission on the design and development of a framework for nature credits by 2027, with the possibility of future extension.
